Tässä tehdään suunnitelmia ikkunoiden kuljettamiseksi 10 km:n päähän Rejjipuran koululle. Tämä puusepän verstas on todella jyrkän rinteen alla kapean hiekkatien mutkan takana, eikä sinne kovin iso auto edes pääse. Ikkunoiden karmit pitää rakentaa paikan päällä koululla ja sen jälkeen ikkunat voi asentaa paikalleen.

Here, plans for transporting the windows to the distance of 10 km to Rejjipura school are made. This joiner's workshop is situated under a really steep slope behind a curve of a narrow gravel road, and a big lorry cannot even get there. The window frames must be built on the spot at the school, after which the windows can be installed in place.

Es ist geplant die Fenster 10 km zur Rejjipura Schule zu transportieren. Die Arbeitsstätte des Zimmermanns ist am Ende eines steilen Abhangs hinter einer schmalen Sanddüne, es es gibt kein großes Auto zum Transportieren. Daher müssen die Fensterrahmen in der Schule Vorort gebaut werden und danach können die Fenster installiert werden.

Yksi koulun tukijoista on saksalainen Anja. Hän vei koululle tuliaisina puhallettavia maapalloja. Ja nepä herättivätkin kovasti innostusta tutkia, missä on Suomi, Saksa ja monet muut maat.

Anja, a German, is one of our school supporters. She brought inflatable globes as presents to the school. They arouse much interest to study the locations of Finland, Germany and many other countries.

Eine der Unterstützer der Schule ist Anja, eine Deutsche. Sie brachte diese Bälle (Globusse) mit zur Schule. Die Schulkinder waren sehr aufgeregt auf diesen Finnland, Sri Lanka, Deutschland und andere Länder zu finden.

Pallo on sellainen tavara, että sillä voi tehdä monenlaista puuhaa. Nämä pallot ovat oivia välineitä maantiedossa, liikunnassa, matematiikassa...monenlaisessa vuorovaikutusta kehittävässä asiassa. 

Hieno idea Anjalta, kiitos siitä!

A ball is a versatile thing, allowing to do many kind of activities. These balls are good instruments in geography, sports, mathematics...in many issues developing interaction. A splendid idea from Anja, much appreciated!

Bälle machen viel Spaß! Diese Bälle sind coole Werkzeuge für Geographie, Sportübungen, Mathematik… für eine Vielzahl von interaktionsfördernden Themen. Tolle Idee von Anja, danke dafür!

Muovipallon hinta näkyy olevan 650 rupiaa eli noin 3,50€ tämän hetken kurssin mukaan.

Uusia koulupöytiä ja -penkkejä varten on hankittu puutavaraa. 

Sahalta se homma alkaa. Tuosta puunpätkästä saa monta koulupöydän pintalautaa.

Timber has been acquired for new school tables and benches. The job starts from the sawmill. That piece of wood will provide many slabs for a school table.

Holz für neue Schultische und Bänke wurde erworben. Die Erstellung fängt an mit einem Baumstamm, aus dem viele Tischplatten gefertigt werden.

 Ja hyvinhän ne sahatut puut kuivuvatkin auringonpaahteessa.

And the sawn timber will also dry well in the sun.

Die Holzplanken trocknen in der Sonne.

Tiedoksenne vielä, että keräämme silmälaseja ihan koko ajan! Jospa niitä taas kertyisi seuraavaan reissuun satoja, satoja...

For your information, we are continuously collecting spectacles!

Perhaps we will get hundreds and hundreds of them for the next trip...

Und denk dran, dass wir immer gebrauchte Brillen sammeln! Wir benötigen davon Hunderte und Hunderte für die Menschen in Sri Lanka, die sie dringend benötigen…..
