Hikkaduwan kylässä saatiin vihdoin aloitettua koulutoiminta. Koronavuosia ennen koulu oli jo toiminnassa, mutta juuri pandemia ja muut maassa tapahtuneet kriisit tulivat väliin ja koulu piti laittaa tauolle.
Kuvan ilmeistä ja saamistani viesteistä päätellen koulun alkua on odotettu kovasti.
Finally, it was possible to start the operations of the
Hikkaduwa village school. Before the coronavirus years, the school was already
in operation, but the pandemic and other crises that took place in the country
caused disruptions and the school had to be put on hold.
Judging from the expressions in the photo and the messages I
have received, it is obvious that they have been looking forward to the opening
of the school very much.

Opiskelutila on pitkänomainen ja siinä voi helposti olla kaksi eri-ikäisten ryhmää.
Uusi naisopettajamme valvoo molempia ryhmiä ja antaa vuorotellen tehtäviä opettamisen lomassa.
The study space has the shape of an oblong, giving easily room for two groups of various ages. Our new female teacher is supervising both groups and gives exercises in turns while teaching.
