Telluschool is school in Sri Lanka opened at Christmas 2013 for children of low-income famielies. Children go to school the afternoon, after the normal school day that they could learn English. Telluschool, škola na Srí Lanke pre deti z rodín s nízkymi príjmami, bola otvorená na Vianoce v roku 2013. Deti sa tu popoludní, po skončení riadneho vyučovania, učia anglicky. Popoludňajšie školy takéhoto typu sú zvyčajne platené. Táto však je bezplatná a preto je prístupná aj deťom z rodín, ktoré by inak takéto vzdelanie nemohli financovať.

Prvá škola bola otvorená na Vianoce 2013 v južnej provincii ostrova v obci Hikkaduwa Boossa. Ďalšia škola bola otvorená na Vianoce 2015 v neďalekej dedine Rejipura. Táto naviac v dopoludňajších hodinách slúži ako montessori škôlka pre dedinské deti. V minulosti, kedy rodičia museli prispievať na plat učiteľa, školu navštevovalo málo žiakov. V súčasnosti školu môže navštevovať každé dieťa bez ohľadu na finančnú situáciu svojej rodiny. Výuka angličtiny zvyšuje šancu dieťaťa na lepšie možnosti štúdia v budúcnosti.

V pôvodnej menšej škole v dedine Boossa sa učí asi 80 žiakov rôznych vekových skupín. V škole v dedine Rejipura sa môže učiť 250 žiakov v závislosti na vybavení školy nábytkom. Tento sa zabezpečuje z prostriedkov darcov. V súčasnosti školu navštevuje niekoľko desiatok detí. Darcovské príspevky sú taktiež určené na platy troch učiteľov vo výške 20 000 LKR (130 euro)/ učiteľ/ mesiac.

Zbierky použitých okuliarov, organizované naším združením, sa stretávajú s vrelým prijatím miestnych obyvateľov. Dojímavá bola reakcia ľudí, ktorým sa takto zlepšil zrak. Napríklad znovunadobudnutá schopnosť navliecť niť do ihly im umožnila vrátiť sa k pôvodnému živobytiu.

Uuden keräysluvan turvin koulunkäynti on edelleen turvattu. Tilin muututtua yritystiliksi keräyslupa on jatkuva. Se vaatii kuitenkin meiltä vastuullisilta enemmän työtä ja myös tilinhoitokulut nousivat huomattavasti. Mielellään kuitenkin teemme tätä iloa ja oppimista tukevaa työtä ja haluamme taata koulutuksen mahdollisuuden ja kenties sen myötä paremman tulevaisuuden.   Olemme jälleen saaneet yksityisiltä sekä yhteistyökumppaneiltamme, mm. FennO- Optiikalta ja Jyväs-Optiikalta, runsaasti silmälaseja, joita on tällä hetkellä kasassa jo 450 kpl. Pakkailen niitä matkalaukkuun odottamaan seuraavaa matkaa; mielessä auringon lämpö  ja ihanat, iloiset ihmiset...antaahan se aavistuksen verran mukavaa tunnetta rintaan ja nostaa hyviä muistoja pintaan aiemmista matkoista silmälasilastien kanssa.   😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎🙋🌞🌞🌞   We have once again received plenty of glasses, amounting to 450 pcs at present, from private individuals and our cooperation partners, for example Fenno Optiikka and Jyväs-Optiikka.
