Puskaradion toiminta Grapevine communication

Kuvassa oven päällä oleva kyltti kertoo, että tässä jonotetaan lääkäriin. Tämä jono ei kuitenkaan mene lääkärin vastaanotolle, vaan hakemaan silmälaseja.

Saimme kaverinkaverinkaverin kautta ( lääkäri oli jonkun täti ja se joku oli jonkun toisen tuttu joka tunsi kouluisäntämme Dilipin;) tilaisuuden ajaksi käyttöömme pienen terveysaseman ja sana oli todellakin kiirinyt ja väkeä alkoi pian muodostua jonoiksi asti.


In this photo, the sign above the door indicates that people are queuing for the doctor. However, this queue does not lead to see the doctor, but to fetch eyeglasses. Through a friend of a friend of a friend (the doctor was somebody's aunt, and that somebody was somebody else's acquaintance who knew our school master Dilip ;) we were able to use a small medical centre for this occasion, and the word had really been spreading around and soon there were people forming queues.

Auf diesem Foto weist das Schild über der Tür darauf hin, dass sich Personen für den Arzt in einer Warteschlange anstellen. 

Diese Warteschlange führt jedoch nicht zum Arztbesuch, sondern zum Abholen einer Brille. Durch einen Freund eines Freundes eines Freundes (der Arzt war jemandes Tante, und dieser jemand war jemandes Bekannter, der unseren Schulmeister Dilip kannte;) konnten wir für diesen Anlass ein kleines medizinisches Zentrum nutzen, und die Information breitete sich aus und bald bildeten sich Warteschlangen.

 Lääkärin vastaanottohuoneessa oli kaikki tavarat tavallisilla paikoillaan ja kun aloitimme tilaisuuden järjestelyn tiloissa, oli siinä samassa huoneessa vielä yksi liikenneonnettomuuden uhri paikattavana. 
Mutta mitäs me siitä kun ei hän itsekään ollut tilanteesta ja meistä moksiskaan.

In the doctor's office all the things were in their usual places, and when we started to arrange the occasion  in the facilities, one victim of a traffic accident was still being patched up in the room. But why should we mind if he himself was not bothered about the situation and us.

Lääkärin vastaanottohuone oli melko pieni ja että järjestys säilyi, sinne saattoi kerralla päästää vain muutaman ihmisen. Lääkäritädin tuttu ja se tutuntuttu olivat auttamassa meitä asiakkaiden palvelemisessa. Myös lääkärikeskuksen hoitajat olivat auttamassa ja pitämässä huolta, että järjestys säilyi ahtaissa tiloissa.

 The doctor's consulting room was rather small and to maintain order, it was possible to let only a few people in at a time. The doctor aunt's acquaintance and the friend of a friend were helping us in serving customers. Also, the nurses of the medical centre were helping us and maintaining order in close quarters.

Das Sprechzimmer des Arztes war eher klein und um Ordnung zu halten, konnten nur wenige Personen gleichzeitig eingelassen werden. Der Bekanntenkreis der Arzttante und der Freund eines Freundes halfen uns, die Kunden zu bedienen. Auch die Krankenschwestern des medizinischen Zentrums halfen uns und sorgten für Ordnung auf engstem Raum.

Huone oli hiukan hämärä ja joidenkin piti käydä luonnonvalossa ulko-ovella katsomassa tarkemmin tekstiä.

 The room was somewhat dim and some people had to go to the front door to see the text closer in natural light.

Der Raum war etwas dunkel und einige Leute mussten zur Haustür gehen, um den Text in natürlichem Licht näher zu betrachten.

 

 Jokainen sai silmälaseilleen suojapussin mukaansa.

Jeder erhielt eine schützende Tüte für seine Brille.

Tämä mies kokeili ainakin 25 eri silmälasit päähänsä ja aina vain puisteli päätään, yhteistä kieltä kun ei meillä ollut. Sitten ne 26. silmälasipari aiheutti aivan uskomattoman reaktion. Ilme oli sanoinkuvaamaton ja ilo loisti katseesta, kun maailmankuva kirkastui hetkessä. 

Eräs Facebook-sivumme lukija piti tätä "jakotoimintaamme" hiukan arveluttavana siksi, että se voisi pilata ihmisten näön ilman näöntarkastusta ja silmälasien juuri täysin oikeiden vahvuuksien puuttuessa. 

Niinpä olemme keskustelleet asiasta suomalaisen silmäalan ammattilaisen kanssa ja hän kyllä kannusti jatkamaan tällaista auttamista. 

Kun joku saa näköänsä takaisin ja näkee taas tehdä työtään elannon hankkimiseksi, on se todiste avun tärkeydestä. 

 This man tried on at least 25 different pairs of glasses and kept shaking his head as we had no common language. Then, the 26th pair caused an unbelievable reaction. The expression on his face was beyond words and joy was shining in his eyes when the world picture brightened up in a moment.
One of our Facebook readers considered this ”distribution action” of ours a little bit dubious as it could spoil people's eyesight without a proper eye checkup and without exactly the correct powers of the lenses.
Thus, we have discussed the matter with a Finnish eye specialist and he encouraged us to continue this kind of help. 
When somebody restores his or her vision and is able to see to do his or her work in order to make a living, it is a proof of the value of this help.

Dieser Mann probierte mindestens 25 verschiedene Brillen an und schüttelte immer wieder den Kopf, da wir keine gemeinsame Sprache hatten. Dann löste das 26. Paar eine unglaubliche Reaktion aus. Der Ausdruck in seinem Gesicht war unbeschreiblich und Freude strahlte in seinen Augen, als sich das Weltbild in einem Moment aufhellte.

Einer unserer Facebook-Leser hielt diese „Vertriebsaktion“ für etwas zweifelhaft, da sie das Sehvermögen der Menschen beeinträchtigen könnte, wenn keine ordnungsgemäße Augenuntersuchung durchgeführt wird und die Linsen nicht genau die richtige Stärke haben.

Aus diesem Grund haben wir die Angelegenheit mit einem finnischen Augenspezialisten besprochen und er ermutigt uns, diese Art von Hilfe fortzusetzen.

Wenn jemand sein Sehvermögen wiederherstellt und in der Lage ist, seine Arbeit zu verrichten, um seinen Lebensunterhalt zu verdienen, ist dies ein Beweis für den Wert dieser Hilfe.
