Vuosi on edennyt jo pian puoleenväliin ja koulu senkun kasvaa:)
Tällä hetkellä oppilaita olisi tulossa vaikka kuinka paljon. Ensimmäinen opettaja ei ollut täysin sovelias tehtäväänsä ja niinpä Dilipin perhe hankki uuden opettajan.
 Alkukuukaudet koulussa opetettiin ainoastaan englannin kieltä, mutta nyt on tarkoitus alkaa opettamaan myös esim. matematiikkaa. Uusi opettaja on siihen pätevä ja ahkera toimissaan. 
Koulun arkea seurataan tarkasti isäntäperheen taholta ja asioihin puututaan heti, jos siihen ilmenee aihetta.

Alla koulun logo, vihdoinkin valmiina. Sitä on funtsittu puoleen ja toiseen, mutta yhtä kaikki siinä se nyt on :)  
Logo maalataan koulun seinään ja jos joskus saadaan mahdollisesti toinen rakennus viereisestä kylästä, niin sinne myös tulee tuo sama logo näkyviin.


We are nearly half way through the year, and the school is becoming bigger and bigger. At this moment, there would be as many pupils coming to school as possible. The first teacher was not quite suited for the task and, therefore, Dilip’s family employed a new one.
During the first months of the school, only English was being taught but now the aim is to start teaching, for example, mathematics. The new teacher is well qualified for this and hard-working. The host family follows the school’s everyday life closely and intervenes in matters straight away, if necessary.
Below there is the school logo, finally completed. We have been pondering over this and that for a long time but, all the same, there it is now. The logo will be painted on the school wall, and if we manage to get another building from the nearby village, the logo will be painted on it as well.




Lahjoittajien jalomielisyyden ansiosta olemme saaneet lähetettyä opettajan palkan kuukausittain sekä muutaman kerran rahaa opetusmateriaaleihin. Näin opetus voidaan turvata lapsille ja niin ollen antaa tulevaisuuden toivoa heille. Itse saan kaikista koulun menoista, maksetuista palkoista ja ostetuista tarvikkeista kirjanpidon.

Aivan alussa, silloin joulu-tammikuussa koulussa oli 35 oppilasta. Nyt heitä olisi reilusti yli 100, jos vain kouluun mahtuisi. Joulukuussa rakennettu koulurakennus on pieni ja niinpä perhe on katsellut ahkerasti lähikylästä toista rakennusta, joka olisi hyvä paikka toiselle koululle.
 Toivon, että saamme pian kaikki viimeisetkin paperiasiain rippeet täällä Suomessa kuntoon ja valtakunnallinen laajempi keräyslupa voimaan. Se olisi todella tarpeen. Paperiasiat tahtovat vaan olla aikas hitaita valmistumaan tuolla eri portaissa, harmi!
Mutta toivoa on!

Itse toivon pääseväni tämän vuoden aikana katsomaan sinne kauas paikan päälle koulun tilanteen ja neuvottelemaan ihan naamatusten uusista suunnitelmista, vaikkakin olemme viikoittain yhteydessä skypellä nytkin.


Thanks to the generosity of donors, we have been able to send the teacher’s salary monthly and, on some occasions, money for teaching materials. Thus, we can secure education for the children and give them hope for the future. I receive accounts of all the school’s expenses, salaries paid and necessities bought.
At the very beginning, in December-January, there were 35 pupils in the school. Now, there would be well over a 100 if only there were room. The school house, which was built in December, is small and so the family has been busy looking for another building suitable for the school in the village nearby.
I hope that we will soon get all the official documents sorted out here in Finland and have the wider, national collection licence issued. It would really be helpful. The paperwork just seems to take a long time to get processed through various steps, which is a pity. But there is hope!
I myself hope to get there faraway this year to evaluate the school’s situation and discuss new plans face to face, although we are in weekly contact by Skype even nowadays.

Koulun ikkunat on saatu jo lähes valmiiksi. The school windows are almost finished. Oppimiselle mahdollisuus Opportunity for Learning

Uuden keräysluvan turvin koulunkäynti on edelleen turvattu. Tilin muututtua yritystiliksi keräyslupa on jatkuva. Se vaatii kuitenkin meiltä vastuullisilta enemmän työtä ja myös tilinhoitokulut nousivat huomattavasti. Mielellään kuitenkin teemme tätä iloa ja oppimista tukevaa työtä ja haluamme taata koulutuksen mahdollisuuden ja kenties sen myötä paremman tulevaisuuden. After receiving the new collection licence, school operations continue to be secured. As the account changed into a company account, the collection licence will be continuous. However, it will demand more work from us responsible, and the account management costs also increased considerably. Nevertheless, we are pleased to do this work supporting joy and learning and we want to guarantee the opportunity for education and perhaps, along with it, a better future.

Silmälasikeräys on voimassa kaiken aikaa! Collection of eyeglasses is valid all the time!

  Olemme jälleen saaneet yksityisiltä sekä yhteistyökumppaneiltamme, mm. FennO- Optiikalta ja Jyväs-Optiikalta, runsaasti silmälaseja, joita on tällä hetkellä kasassa jo 450 kpl. Pakkailen niitä matkalaukkuun odottamaan seuraavaa matkaa; mielessä auringon lämpö  ja ihanat, iloiset ihmiset...antaahan se aavistuksen verran mukavaa tunnetta rintaan ja nostaa hyviä muistoja pintaan aiemmista matkoista silmälasilastien kanssa.   😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎🙋🌞🌞🌞   We have once again received plenty of glasses, amounting to 450 pcs at present, from private individuals and our cooperation partners, for example Fenno Optiikka and Jyväs-Optiikka. I am packing them to a suitcase to wait for the next trip; the warmth of the sun and lovely, happy people in my mind...it surely gives you a nice feeling inside, even slightly, and raises good memories of the earlier trips with loads of glasses.
