Kun viikonloppu tämän viikon perjantaina 13.4. alkaa , on Uuden vuoden aatto. (Alla olevassa kuvassa on asiaan liittyen mielenkiintoista tietoa netin syövereistä.)

Juhla tarkoittaa yhdessä oloa perheen ja suvun kanssa sekä ennen kaikkea yhdessä syömistä runsaasti katetussa pöydässä, pikkulahjojen antamista toinen toiselleen, usein myös uusien vaatteiden ostoa varojen niin salliessa ja kouluillakin on jonkunlaista juhlaa siihen aikaan. Myös ystäviä kutsutaan kotiin ja kestitään hyvin. Aatto ja uudenvuodenpäivä ovat laajalti vapaapäiviäkin.

Hotelleilla voi olla juhlia turisteille pikkulippujen, puheiden ja laulujen kera.

Sri Lankalla on tapana, että ilotulituksia paukutellaan ihan pienistäkin syistä, mutta Uuden Vuoden juhlintaan se liittyy erityisesti kuten muissakin maissa. Se on komeaa katseltavaa pimeässä meren rannalla...eikä silloin edes palele;)

When the weekend on Friday, the 13^th April, starts, it is the New Year's Eve. (In the below photo, there is interesting information related to the matter from the net's whirlpool).

The celebration means being together with the family and relatives and, above all, eating together on the table that is full of delicacies, giving presents to each other, often buying new clothes (finances permitting), and the schools also have some kind of parties at the time. Friends are also asked to visit and they are well catered for. The Eve and New Year's Day are holidays in many places. Hotels may have parties for the tourists with small flags, speeches and songs. In Sri Lanka it is a custom to shoot fireworks for the slightest excuse, but it is especially related to New Year celebrations as in other countries. It is a spectacular display in the dark on the sea shore...and you are not even freezing then ;).

Festliches Zusammensein mit der Familie, viel Zusammensitzen, gemeinsames Essen an einem großen Tisch und auch der Kauf von neuer Kleidung gehört zum Begehen der festlichen Zeit. Auch Freunde werden ins Zuhause eingeladen. Sylvester und Neujahr sind in der Regel Feiertage und keiner arbeitet
In den Hotels werden für die Touristen Bälle mit Reden und Musik veranstaltet. In Sri Lanka ist es üblich bei jeder Gelegenheit Feuerwerk zu veranstalten, bei Sylvester gilt dies ganz besonders. Es ist ein wunderschönes Bild Feuerwerk im Dunkeln am Meer… und da sieht man auch die Armut nicht!

Koulun ikkunat on saatu jo lähes valmiiksi. The school windows are almost finished. Uuden keräysluvan turvin koulunkäynti on edelleen turvattu. Tilin muututtua yritystiliksi keräyslupa on jatkuva. Se vaatii kuitenkin meiltä vastuullisilta enemmän työtä ja myös tilinhoitokulut nousivat huomattavasti. Mielellään kuitenkin teemme tätä iloa ja oppimista tukevaa työtä ja haluamme taata koulutuksen mahdollisuuden ja kenties sen myötä paremman tulevaisuuden. After receiving the new collection licence, school operations continue to be secured. As the account changed into a company account, the collection licence will be continuous. However, it will demand more work from us responsible, and the account management costs also increased considerably. Nevertheless, we are pleased to do this work supporting joy and learning and we want to guarantee the opportunity for education and perhaps, along with it, a better future.

Olemme jälleen saaneet yksityisiltä sekä yhteistyökumppaneiltamme, mm. FennO- Optiikalta ja Jyväs-Optiikalta, runsaasti silmälaseja, joita on tällä hetkellä kasassa jo 450 kpl. Pakkailen niitä matkalaukkuun odottamaan seuraavaa matkaa; mielessä auringon lämpö ja ihanat, iloiset ihmiset...antaahan se aavistuksen verran mukavaa tunnetta rintaan ja nostaa hyviä muistoja pintaan aiemmista matkoista silmälasilastien kanssa. 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎🙋🌞🌞🌞 We have once again received plenty of glasses, amounting to 450 pcs at present, from private individuals and our cooperation partners, for example Fenno Optiikka and Jyväs-Optiikka.
