Ympäristöteko Environmental Action


Kuten kaikki tiedämme, maailman merissä on muovia niin paljon, että sitä on vaikea edes käsittää. 
Telluschoolin väki Sri Lankassa haluaa olla omalta pieneltä osaltaan olla auttamassa, ettei niin kävisi jatkossakin.


As we all know, there is so much plastic in the seas of the world that it is even difficult to grasp. The Telluschool people in Sri Lanka want to help for their own small part to prevent this happening in the future.



Keräämme lasten kanssa rannoilta roskia ja näin saamme samalla konkreettisesti opetettua lapsille asian tärkeyden.

 Muovipulloja on rannoilla todella paljon. Kerättyä ne viedään kierrätykseen, joka onkin tehokasta Sri Lankassa vaikkei heti ehkä uskoisi. Näin kuitenkin on :)
We gather rubbish from the beaches with the children and, in this way, we can teach the children the importance of the matter in a concrete way.
The shores are riddled with plastic bottles. After they have been collected, they are taken for recycling, which is efficient in Sri Lanka, believe it or not. However, this is the case :)







Natasha ja Ville, tämän hetken vapaaehtoisemme Suomesta, aloittavat oppilaidemme äideille oman ryhmän tänään ja se jatkuu kolmena seuraavana keskiviikkona.
Lasten opiskelun tärkeys ja kaikenlainen kunnioitus on tärkeää kaikissa maissa ja uskonkin, että ryhmän anti tulee olemaan ajatuksia herättävä ja tärkeä kohtauspaikka kulttuurienkin välillä.
Natasha and Ville, our present volunteers from Finland, will start a group for our pupils' mothers and it will continue on three following Wednesdays.
The significance of children's learning and all kind of respect is important in all countries and I believe that the contribution of the group will be a significant, thought-provoking meeting place between cultures.

Koulun ikkunat on saatu jo lähes valmiiksi. The school windows are almost finished. Die Schulfenster sind fast fertig Tässä tehdään suunnitelmia ikkunoiden kuljettamiseksi 10 km:n päähän Rejjipuran koululle. Oppimiselle mahdollisuus Opportunity for Learning

Uuden keräysluvan turvin koulunkäynti on edelleen turvattu. Tilin muututtua yritystiliksi keräyslupa on jatkuva. Se vaatii kuitenkin meiltä vastuullisilta enemmän työtä ja myös tilinhoitokulut nousivat huomattavasti. Mielellään kuitenkin teemme tätä iloa ja oppimista tukevaa työtä ja haluamme taata koulutuksen mahdollisuuden ja kenties sen myötä paremman tulevaisuuden. After receiving the new collection licence, school operations continue to be secured. As the account changed into a company account, the collection licence will be continuous. However, it will demand more work from us responsible, and the account management costs also increased considerably. Nevertheless, we are pleased to do this work supporting joy and learning and we want to guarantee the opportunity for education and perhaps, along with it, a better future.

Silmälasikeräys on voimassa kaiken aikaa! Collection of eyeglasses is valid all the time!

  Olemme jälleen saaneet yksityisiltä sekä yhteistyökumppaneiltamme, mm. FennO- Optiikalta ja Jyväs-Optiikalta, runsaasti silmälaseja, joita on tällä hetkellä kasassa jo 450 kpl. Pakkailen niitä matkalaukkuun odottamaan seuraavaa matkaa; mielessä auringon lämpö  ja ihanat, iloiset ihmiset...antaahan se aavistuksen verran mukavaa tunnetta rintaan ja nostaa hyviä muistoja pintaan aiemmista matkoista silmälasilastien kanssa.   😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎🙋🌞🌞🌞   We have once again received plenty of glasses, amounting to 450 pcs at present, from private individuals and our cooperation partners, for example Fenno Optiikka and Jyväs-Optiikka. I am packing them to a suitcase to wait for the next trip; the warmth of the sun and lovely, happy people in my mind...it surely gives you a nice feeling inside, even slightly, and raises good memories of the earlier trips with loads of glasses.
